Cape Town - Bidvest Wits defender Buhle Mkhwanazi is set to extend his contract with the club, according to his agent.
The former AmaTuks defender has just returned from a long-term injury and is likely to start in Saturday's Telkom Knockout final against Bloemfontein Celtic.
There had been speculation linking Mkhwanazi to Orlando Pirates, but according to agent Paul Mitchell there is no substance to that and the player is expected to commit his future to the Clever Boys.
"I don't know anything about Mkhwanazi and Pirates. They haven't been in contact with me. Wits haven't told me anything," Mitchell told The Star.
"The boy is still happy at Wits. He is well taken care of. He still contracted to Wits for the next couple of seasons. Next week, I will meet with Wits to discuss the new deal.
"He is settled and he doesn't want to move to a local club at this stage of his career."
