Cape Town - Maritzburg United coach Ernst Middendorp urged his players to keep their focus after boosting their survival hopes with a goalless draw against Orlando Pirates on Saturday night.
The Team of Choice remain bottom of the Absa Premiership standings following Saturday's stalemate, but trail Chippa United by just four points with two games remaining.
And Middendorp remains confident that his charges will be able to steer clear of relegation despite their current predicament.
Reflecting on what could prove to be a crucial point against the Buccaneers, Middendorp told SuperSport: "We put everything in, it was very close in some moments, in terms of the finishing over 90 minutes, I told my players keep this concentration, keep this focus, keep this desire.
"We keep fighting, we play the next game in four days, home game, hopefully there is a lot of support and we make the step that's necessary.
"Two games to play - now is the question, will everybody win two games? I don't know. Actually, in this league it makes it very interesting.
"We know we have a chance, I said beginning of January when I went into this challenging project that the last three, four games will make it. We are somehow used to it, this situation of nothing to lose."
Martizburg take on Ajax Cape Town in their penultimate fixture, before locking horns with relegation rivals Chippa United on the final day of the campaign.
