Middendorp unhappy with Amakhosi showboating

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs head coach Ernst Middendorp said he was irritated after some of his players decided to do some showboating towards the end of the match against Bloemfontein Celtic on Saturday.

Amakhosi came back from 3-2 down to beat Celtic 5-3 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in what was a thrilling clash that saw Chiefs maintain their 10-point lead at the top of the Absa Premiership standings.

Some Chiefs players though decided to do some tricks and flicks towards the end of the match and that visibly irritated Middendorp, who simply said after the game that "it's nonsense".

The German mentor was pleased with how his team showed the character to come back and win the match.

Middendorp continued: "Yeah, controlled aggressiveness is one very important aspect.

"I said at the beginning of the season that we want to see our team more aggressive compared to our first six months last season."

Amakhosi are back in action on December 22 when they take on Maritzburg United in an Absa Premiership encounter.
