Micho says Lepasa can be a 'super sub' for Bucs

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic says forward Zakhele Lepasa can make an impact off the bench for his team in 2019/20.

Lepasa enjoyed a fruitful time on loan to TS Galaxy last season where he scored nine goals in all competitions, including the winning penalty in the Nedbank Cup final against Kaizer Chiefs.

The 22-year-old has returned to the Sea Robbers from his loan spell and appears to have a role to play in the next campaign in Bucs' talented attack.

As such, 'Micho' likened the starlet to former Manchester United striker Federico Macheda who scored some crucial goals for the club after coming off the bench earlier in his career.

He said: "I have to be sincere and say, with the amount of competitions that we will be in, a player of this kind that could come, whether, one minute, 10 minutes, 30 minutes, or whatever time and score for you is always a golden [asset].

"If you remember, with Alex Ferguson when he had [Federico] Macheda, do you remember that guy? They won the league based on the player that was a surprise package.

"Between the player that comes sulking and showing [negative expressions] in the face, and a player that is hungry for even one second, which is for him everything on this planet, a coach would always choose to have a super-sub, on many positions, not only that one."
