Cape Town - Orlando Pirates head coach Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic is hoping that a shoulder injury does not rule out Thembinkosi Lorch for the rest of the season.
Lorch suffered what is thought to be a dislocated shoulder after a challenge with AmaZulu captain Mbongeni Gumede in the Buccaneers' 2-1 win on Sunday, a result which keeps them within three points of league leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.
The former Maluti FET College, Cape Town All-Stars and Chippa United attacker has been one of Pirates' stand-out performers this term and has scored four league goals in 20 games, while also recently being called up to the Bafana Bafana squad.
"Despite getting an injection he couldn't continue and I just pray hard because he has had a wonderful season," Sredojevic was quoted as saying by KickOff website.
"He was with Bafana Bafana recently and I strongly hope that this injury is not putting him out for the rest of season, because it is a dislocation or something like that on his shoulder, and I hope that he'll come back."
Bucs are next in action when they host Wits on Wednesday, April 25.
Kick-off is at 19:30.
