Micho awaits medical advice before selecting Khuzwayo

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic says he will only select goalkeeper Brilliant Khuzwayo once his medical team gives the green light.

Khuzwayo was selected to start last Saturday's Carling Black Label Cup against Kaizer Chiefs but was withdrawn on the advice of Bucs' medical team.

Wayne Sandilands was selected in his place and seems likely to start the team's first Premiership match against Bloemfontein Celtic on Saturday.

'Micho' told reporters after the 2-0 victory over Chiefs: "I have the highest degree of respect towards Brilliant Khuzwayo, who is a wonderful person and top goalkeeper that has been with Kaizer Chiefs before coming to us.

"All I can say is that it is something beyond my authority, where medical people are coming and giving advice and we cannot look beyond this.

"It means it is something we shall still wait for clearance in order to have him in full contention for a place because with all his football qualities he deserves to be there.

"But it is a precautionary measure of the medical team that has stopped him from being part of the team today."
