Cape Town - Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic has hailed his side's camaraderie and believes it will be beneficial to ensure ongoing success in all competitions.
'Micho' was delighted with the attitude and spirit in last Saturday's 2-0 win over Platinum Stars at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium. A first goal for Zambian striker Justin Shonga handed Bucs the lead before Thembinkosi Lorch sealed the points with a second.
The Sea Robbers are enjoying a good run in 2018 having won three and drawn once in their opening four matches. The victory over Dikwena sees Pirates rise to third in the Premiership just five points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.
"I'm very happy with the three points, the players worked hard this week. We corrected everything we did wrong against Polokwane City previously," Sredojevic said.
"We played a very good team with a very good coach. It’s hard to believe they are fighting to avoid relegation. They are fighting to get out of the relegation zone, but we had our plans.
"These matches are very difficult and when you want to be in contention for the league title you have to win these games.
"The players applied themselves from the start of the game. When you want to compete for the league title these are the kind of the matches you need to win because they are very difficult.
"We have a good spirit in the team. We love each other, we love the shirt. We want to do everything for this team."
