Mhango handed three-year deal at Orlando Pirates

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates' new striker Gabadinho Mhango has signed a lucrative three-year contract to play for the Sea Robbers from the 2019/20 season.

Mhango's arrival came as somewhat of a surprise given that he has struggled at Bidvest Wits in the last couple of seasons by registering just five Premiership goals in 28 appearances.

Nonetheless, the forward does have pedigree after he scored nine Premiership goals in 2016/17 and at only 26-years-old has his best years of his career ahead of him.

Pirates' official website said: "Orlando Pirates Football Club can now confirm the signing of Malawian international Gabadinho Mhango from Bidvest Wits.

"Mhango has joined the rest of his new team-mates on camp in Rustenburg.

"The 26-year-old has penned a three year deal with the Buccaneers."

The Malawi star said: "I am happy to have joined this wonderful club and I look forward to the season ahead."
