Gabadinho Mhango is relishing his time with Orlando Pirates,
having hit the ground running since his switch from Wits this season.
The Malawi international headed into the enforced break as a
result of the coronavirus on top of the Absa Premiership season
goalscoring charts with 14 goals.
It remains to be seen if he will be able to add to that
tally with the future of the 2019/20 PSL campaign still undecided.
But speaking to the Far Post, the 27-year-old Mhango
explained how he managed his form for Bucs this term.
He said: "When you get the opportunity to play for
Orlando Pirates, the biggest team in the country. You know there are so many
players out there also looking for that same opportunity. So, when the
opportunity came my way, I was so excited.
"I grabbed it with both hands, and it’s great to be
part of the family at Orlando Pirates."
Mhango also reiterated the need to stay safe as South Africa
continues to battle the Covid-19 pandemic.
He said: "I'm currently in lockdown with my two
brothers and we're doing our part to stay safe. We're washing our hands
regularly, and we realise we need to avoid being around other people right now.
"People need to find a way to create space for
themselves and try and stay away from big groups."
