Cape Town - Bidvest Wits attacker Gabadinho Mhango has been suspended for 10 games by the PSL Disciplinary Committee after being found guilty of spitting during a PSL fixture.

The PSL DC released its ruling after Wits and Mhango were charged with misconduct following incidents which took place during the club’s match against Amazulu FC on September 20.

During the game Mhango was found to have spat at Amazulu midfielder Michael Morton. Mhango will now be suspended for 10 matches - of which four matches is suspended.

The club has been sentenced to a suspended fine of R50 000.

In the same ruling Morton and Amazulu were charged pursuant to incidents that took place during the same game.

Morton has been found guilty of assaulting an opposing player but acquitted of spitting and will now be suspended for an additional two matches.
