Mhango enjoying life under Hunt

Cape Town - Bidvest Wits attacker Hellings Mhango has praised coach Gavin Hunt for allowing him to express his versatility on the field of play.

The Malawian joined the university club in the off-season, after being released by Bloemfontein Celtic in January and spending the remainder of last season at Golden Arrows.

Mhango made an immediate impact at his new club after winning the Man-of-the-Match award against Chiefs in a 2-1 victory in their league opener.

"As a player I will play any position the coach requires me to play," Mhango told KickOff.

"So I don't mind playing in any position and I'm enjoying playing any position the coach tells me. But everything is good and I'm loving it here. Our coach is not demanding but is just pushing players to do well."

Mhango will look to once again play a crucial role for his team when they take on Cape Town City FC in the MTN8 semi-final first-leg at the Bidvest Stadium on Saturday.

"For me the last two games are in the past now and we have to focus on the game in front of us. We just need to continue where we stopped and we need to get another win again under our belt," he added.

"Also, we need to keep encouraging each other and stay in that pattern so we can win more games."

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
