Meyiwa's family frustrated with slow investigation process

Cape Town - Senzo Meyiwa’s family have approached public protector Thuli Madonsela to probe the SAPS's slow investigation on the former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper’s murder case.

The late Bafana Bafana 'keeper was shot dead in October 2014 and the dragging investigations have left Meyiwa’s family frustrated.

According to KickOff, public protector spokesperson Oupa Segalwe admits that Meyiwa’s family approached Madonsela to look into the slow progress surrounding the investigation.

“We approached the public protector because we felt that the investigation was dragging, and we wanted her (Madonsela) to assist wherever she can,” he said.

“It would be better if we knew that the case is over and the person or people responsible for the murder have been arrested.”

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
