Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town coach Stanley Menzo feels it was only a matter of time before his team turned the corner, after their streak of three consecutive wins.
After a winless start to the season, with six losses and three draws, the Urban Warriors appear to be back on track following a string of impressive performances.
With stunning wins over Mamelodi Sundowns (2-0), Platinum Stars (3-2) and Golden Arrows (1-0), Ajax have lifted themselves off the foot of the table and up to 11th place.
"The belief is back within the camp, the boys have two days off and then we prepare to go again," Menzo told KickOff.
"The three points against Mamelodi Sundowns were bonus points so to speak. Yes you don't think you will beat them, but of course the hope will always be there.
"But, like I reiterated following the win over Sundowns: what is most important is to pick up points against the teams around you on the log standings.
"The win over Platinum Stars was very important and as was the win against Golden Arrows, even if they are quite high up on the log standings. I am very proud as a coach of how the players have risen to the occasion of late."
