Mbatha shrugs off Bucs rumour, says he wants AmaZulu deal

AmaZulu captain Siyabonga Mbatha has downplayed reports linking him with a move to Orlando Pirates and says he is open to signing a new deal with Usuthu.

The goalkeeper's current contract with the KwaZulu-Natal outfit is due to expire in June, which has led to rumours that he could be snapped up by the Buccaneers on a free.

However, the 31-year-old says he is enjoying his football at AmaZulu and would be pleased to put pen to paper on a new deal.

"I have no problems at AmaZulu, plus I don't mind renewing my contract once my current deal with the club expires in June," Mbatha told Isolezwe.

"I am not getting any younger, and if we sat down and agree on everything I am happy to stay at the club."
