Mazembe to attack in Tshwane

Cape Town - TP Mazembe coach Pamphile Mihayo has warned his men not to sit back and defend their lead against SuperSport United in the CAF Confederation Cup decider.

Last Sunday in Lubumbashi, the DR Congo giants recorded a 2-1 victory over Matsatsantsa in the first leg of the 2017 Confederation Cup final.

The second leg takes place at Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria on Saturday night, and Mihayo has cautioned his men against taking an overly cautious approach.

"I'm happy with the [first leg] result. We won the game, we didn't lose or draw. We're going to try and be at 100 percent for the return game.

"We must play in Pretoria. If we go there only content to stay back and play in the defensive part of the field then it's going to be very difficult for us because the opponent can always put you under pressure. After that, you're going to conceded goals," Mihayo added.

SuperSport's away goal means a 1-0 home win on Saturday will see them crowned champions. If Mazembe snatch an away goal, Matsatsantsa will have to score twice to take the tie to extra time, or three times to win it outright.
