May comeback predicted for Losper

Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town midfielder Toriq Losper is expected to return from injury in time for the final few matches of the campaign.

Losper has been out with a knee injury since October and was initially expected to miss the rest of the season.

Ajax head of medical Jantho Greyling says, however, that the attacking midfielder's recovery is going well, even slightly ahead of schedule.

"The only real injury concern, long-term injury concern, is that of Toriq Losper [meniscal injury to his knee], but his rehab is going very well and we are looking forward to having him back in action for the final few games of the season," Greyling told the club's official website.

"Unfortunately it will basically only be for the Premier Soccer League run-in."

The only other Urban Warrior currently sidelined with injury is Zimbabwe international Eric Chipeta, but he is expected to recover from a broken finger in time for the league's resumption in February.

Stanley Menzo's side return to action on February 1 with a trip to Bidvest Wits.
