Mathoho to miss Chiefs' next game

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs defender Eric Mathoho will play no part in the club's upcoming match against Highlands Park as he is suspended after picking up five yellow cards.

The suspension could come as something of a blow for the Glamour Boys as the towering centre-back has formed a solid partnership with Lorenzo Gordinho in 2016/17.

However, the 26-year-old's absence could provide the likes of Daniel Cardoso and even Siyanda Xulu an opportunity to impress coach Steve Komphela.

Yet, Komphela may juggle his options by fielding Ramahlwe Mphahlele at centre-back while using one of his other players at right-back instead.

Amakhosi face the Lions of the North in Saturday's Premiership clash at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

The action gets underway from 18:00.
