Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that experienced defender Eric Mathoho has recovered from a groin injury.
The lanky defender missed Amakhosi's last three matches after sustaining an injury in training a fortnight ago, but club doctor David Milner revealed that 'Tower' has returned to full training on Thursday.
He also confirmed that midfielder George Maluleka has overcome a thigh injury and is available for next Tuesday's match against Highlands Park.
The midfielder recently returned to action after a long injury layoff and was rewarded with the man-of-the-match award in the victory over Free State Stars but was rested for the following match against AmaZulu.
“Eric is back in full training. He has fully recovered from a groin injury," Milner told his club website.
“George is fine and training with the team. It was a minor problem, but we thought it would be wise to take precaution to avoid worsening the injury.”
Meanwhile, the Amakhosi team doctor stated that Joseph Molangoane, who is out with a long-term injury, is making good progress.
“He is getting stronger and stronger by the day. He works out in the gym and is steadily going through the recovery journey.”
