Cape Town - Bloemfontein Celtic striker Geofrey Massa has returned to full training ahead of the club's Premiership clash against Maritzburg United on Sunday.

The 29-year-old hitman has been out of action with an ankle injury and last played for Phunya sele-sele in a 1-0 defeat to rivals Free State Stars last month.

Massa revealed that he started training with the rest of his Siwelele team-mates on Tuesday and hopes to make a return to the playing field as soon as possible.

Celtic have only won one league game since October last year and head into this weekend's match on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Chippa United.

Massa has scored two goals in 11 league appearances for Celtic this season.
