Mass exodus: Chiefs release 20 players

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs confirmed the names of the players that will be released by the club during the off season.

According to the club’s website, Siyanda Xulu is on the transfer list while seasoned campaigners Morgan Gould and Siboniso Gaxa’s contracts will expire at the end of June and will not be renewed.

Amakhosi have already confirmed the moves for midfielder Reneilwe Letsholonyane and goalkeeper Reyaad Pieterse. Letsholonyane has since joined Supersport United.

Meanwhile, Keegan Ritchie, meanwhile will join SuperSport United in a swap with Sibusiso Khumalo. Strikers Edward Manqele, Bongani Ndulula and Siphelele Mthembu have been listed for a transfer with David Zulu extending his loan agreement at Chippa United for another season.

Ugandan players, Ivan Bukenya and Sula Matovu, were also put on transfer while Zimbabwean midfielder Ovidy Karuru’s contract has been terminated.
