Maritzburg United snap up Pirates' Kutumela

Cape Town - Maritzburg United have acquired the services of Thabiso Kutumela from Orlando Pirates.

Kutumela has spent the past two seasons with the Buccaneers where he struggled to secure a starting spot.

The forward should be presented with more opportunities at the Harry Gwala Stadium, after United CEO Younus Kadiodia confirmed a deal had been finalised to secure his services.

"Yes (we have signed Kutumela), but we will release a statement during the course of the day," Kadodia told Goal.

As of yet, Maritzburg have not disclosed any details regarding the deal or Kutumela's contract, but Kickoff reports that the move is part of a swap deal that could see Fortune Makaringe leave the Team of Choice in the opposite direction.
