Cape Town - Maritzburg United will welcome Absa Premiership champions Kaizer Chiefs to the Harry Gwala Stadium.

Maritzburg claimed their first win of the season when they defeated University of Pretoria 1-0 away on November 8.

The KwaZulu-Natal team has claimed one point from five home matches this season.

The Team of Choice is placed 16th on the Absa Premiership log with four points from 10 matches.

Chiefs returned to winning form in the league when they defeated Golden Arrows 3-1 at home on November 3.

The Soweto side has claimed seven points from five away matches this season.

The Amakhosi are placed fifth on the Absa Premiership log with 17 points from 10 matches.

In head-to-head stats, Maritzburg and Chiefs have met in 18 league matches since 2005/06.

The Amakhosi have seven wins compared to five for the Team of Choice, while six matches have been drawn.

Maritzburg have won three of their nine home matches against Chiefs, suffering two defeats in the process.

Last season the Amakhosi won 1-0 in Soweto, while the return match in Pietermaritzburg was won 1-0 by the Team of Choice.

Chiefs have not won away to Maritzburg in a league match since the 2009/10 season.

Kick-off is at 18:00 on Saturday, November 21.
