Sport24 revealed that the 33-year-old defender had left Bidvest Wits after the Clever Boys decided against extending his two-year stay at the club.
Allie had been training with The Teamof Choice after departing Wits at the end of his contract.
Allie signed for the Clever Boys in a two-year deal - with an option to extend - from Ajax Cape Town in June 2015.
He lifted the Absa Premiership title along with the MTN8 and Telkom Knockout trophies during his time at Sturrock Park.
The former Bafana Bafana international - who still is one of the best defenders in the league - has now put pen-to-paper on a deal to further his career in Pietermaritzburg.
