Maritzburg sign Celtic duo

Cape Town - Maritzburg United have confirmed the capture of Tumelo Mogapi and Gregory Maasdorp from Absa Premiership rivals Bloemfontein Celtic.

The duo have joined the Team of Choice with immediate effect and could be in action against Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday.

With the club at the bottom of the table, it is hoped that the duo will spark a resurgence to avoid relegation.

"The team plays well. I think we tend to relax in the second half and concede unnecessary goals. I just want to assure the fans that we will play every game to win. We will work hard as a team," Mogapi told the club's official website.

"I understand their philosophy, so I believe I will fit in easily. I have watched the recent games the team played. Very dangerous on the counter," Maasdorp said.

"Against Sundowns, we need to play with commitment the way we played against Pirates. I am convinced that we are not in the relegation zone for long."
