Cape Town - Maritzburg United have completed the signing of Denwin Farmer from SuperSport United on a four-year deal to reinforce their squad ahead of the new season.
Farmer becomes the Team of Choice's second signing this week having earlier announced the arrival of Keagan Buchanan, who joined from Kaizer Chiefs on a free transfer.
The 21-year old defender has been brought in to fill the void left by experienced Bevan Fransman, who has joined Highlands Park following the expiry of his contract with the Team of Choice.
Maritzburg will be looking to build from the success of the previous season where they finished fourth in the Premiership and also reached the final of the Nedbank Cup.
Farmer told his new club's website:"I'm delighted to play for a team like Maritzburg who have such a good support structure. Good coaches, great fans supporting the team.
"It's a team where young players are given a chance, where one can grow and learn. I think it will be a team which I can fit into, and I will be able to add value to the team.
"I'm already learning a lot from coach Fadlu Davids, a great coach who is always helping me with my positional play, helping me grow as a player.
"I came here to showcase my talent, to show people what I'm really about, and to help the club win things."
