New Mamelodi Sundowns signing Grant Margeman is eagerly awaiting his new challenge next season.
The 21-year-old midfielder, who has been a target for Downs for some time, will see out the remainder of the current campaign with Ajax Cape Town in the GladAfrica Championship before making the switch.
Margeman, who is the club's third confirmed signing, told KickOff he is looking forward to playing alongside George Maluleka, signed from Chiefs.
Goalkeeper Jody February is the club's third new acquisitions, and he also arrives from Ajax next season.
Margeman said: "I think he's a fantastic player you know. George has been long in the game. He has a lot of qualities and it's going to be good playing with him.
"For myself, it's just to go there and show my quality and ability to the coach you know. Even though it can be more difficult, more competition, I think that's going to motivate me to keep on giving my best and to show that I want to be part of the team.
"Sundowns you know, they always sign a lot of quality players but for me, it's not about what the club sign. I have no control over that. It's just for me to go there and do my job. Yeah, I would like to see what happens when the time comes."
Margeman is currently out of action along with the rest of the world's footballing community as a result of the Coronavirus.
He concluded: "I think it's a bit disappointing you know (the football suspension), especially for footballers, but now we have to make sure that we stay safe first, stay healthy and make sure that everyone around us is safe."
