Cape Town - South Africa under-23 star Grant Margeman admits he would jump at the opportunity to join Mamelodi Sundowns amid links with the Absa Premiership champions.
Margeman has been linked with a move to the Brazilians ever since shining for Amaglug-glug at the COSAFA Cup in June.
The 21-year-old midfielder has been a shining light for Ajax Cape Town in the GladAfrica Championship this season, netting five goals to help the Urban Warriors to the top of the log.
After a crucial 3-1 victory over second-placed Uthongathi on Saturday which took Ajax to the summit of the standings, Margeman insisted his focus was only on gaining promotion and said the links with Sundowns were making him raise his game to another level.
"I think that's every player's dream to play in the top league in the country, but at the moment nothing has come through you know," Margeman told KickOff.
"I'm still at Ajax Cape Town and my main focus is here to help the team get automatic promotion.
"I think it motivates me you know, the champions of the PSL being interested in a player like me, it gives me the motivation to push every week so I can be a player that can go there.
Margeman's contract with Ajax expires at the end of the season, which would make him available on a free transfer.
