Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town midfielder Grant Margeman says he misses playing Absa Premiership football after spending 2018/19 in the National First Division.

Margeman is highly rated in South African football and was recently a stand-out performer for Bafana Bafana's COSAFA Cup team.

As such, the 21-year-old wants to continue to test his talents at the highest level in South African football though he admits he will fight to help Ajax gain promotion if he doesn't leave.

The Urban Warriors narrowly missed out on the promotion/relegation playoffs in the previous campaign and appear set to continue competing in SA's second tier.

He told reporters: "At the moment I haven't got any offers, I'm still with Ajax Cape Town, but for me playing in the PSL would be good for my career.

"It's a top league and it would add value to me as a player because I would be getting more exposure.

"I miss PSL a lot. I'm looking forward to playing there but if it doesn't come next season I will have to fight with Ajax to get promotion."
