Midfielder Grant Margeman has chosen to join Mamelodi Sundowns because they match his ambition, the player's agent has said.
The talented 21-year-old was reportedly a wanted man with offers from 'Spain, Turkey, Belgium, Sweden and Denmark'.
But Margeman, who came up through the ranks at Ajax Cape Town, has decided to team up with ambitious Downs, where he knows he will win trophies.
This season the midfielder has been an important part of the Urban Warriors side as they fight for promotion back to the ABSA Premiership.
Having been on Sundowns' radar since at least January, Margeman finally made the decision, with Ntobatsi Masegela telling KickOff: "There were offers from overseas but I won't mention the clubs to protect them. I can only say they were from Spain, Turkey, Belgium, Sweden and Denmark.
"There were also a few local clubs that made inquiries but nothing formally.
"He decided to choose Sundowns because it's the only club that matched his ambitions as a football player."
Masegela added that a productive career with Sundowns could open up bigger opportunities overseas.
"They are winning trophies. They play in the CAF Champions League. They are a ticket to a bigger team in Europe," he said.
