Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town coach Stanley Menzo says that 18-year-old midfielder Grant Margeman is becoming an increasingly key player for his side.
Margeman has just returned from international duty with the SA U-20 squad at the Africa Cup of Nations championships in Zambia, where he helped his country qualify for the Under-20 World Cup.
He is now set to be drafted back into the Ajax side for their league clash with Free State Stars at the Athlone Stadium on Friday night.
"Having Grant back gives us another option in midfield," Menzo told the Argus.
"He brings energy and confidence into the team. He gives us something different, and I believe that he has something special."
The Dutchman is, however, cautious of putting too much pressure on a player who is in his first season in the professional ranks.
"Grant is still young and we have to monitor him to ensure that we don't overplay him. We have to make sure that we manage him properly. We have to keep him fresh, both mentally and physically."
Margeman has played in nine league games for the Urban Warriors this season and has scored two goals and also provided a couple of assists.
