Lebogang Manyama is the most important player for Kaizer Chiefs in their quest to win the Absa Premiership title, according to Stellenbosch midfielder Mpho Matsi.
Manyama has scored six goals and also contributed with eight assists in his 21 league appearances this season to help Amakhosi take top spot in the standings with a four-point lead over Mamelodi Sundowns, who have a game in hand.
Matsi, who is a former Cape Town City team-mate of Manyama's, reckons if the season resumes it will be the 29-year-old who will have the biggest influence on the outcome of the title race.
"Mamelodi Sundowns have quality and individual brilliance. Kaizer Chiefs are playing as a team and they have a brilliant player in Lebogang Manyama," Matsi told SuperSport.
"Manyama has done well this season as the main guy for Chiefs. If Chiefs lose Manyama to an [long-term] injury, then Sundowns would win the league. However, if Manyama continues playing then Sundowns won't catch Chiefs."
