Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela has been satisfied with Edward Manqele's effort during training of late.
The 28-year-old striker made his first appearance for Chiefs in months during the second half of the 2-1 win against University of Pretoria in midweek.
Since joining Amakhosi from Chippa United, Manqele has struggled to find his feet, but Komphela believes the player is on the right track.
"What we have seen in the past two weeks of training, he has been doing tremendously, very well," Komphela told KickOff.
"One of his trademarks is making runs behind the defence, reading moments of the game, holding the ball. Jabu is a quality striker.
"We knew he will get his chance and we are delighted that his contribution and that of Yeye [Reneilwe Letsholonyane] has given us the three points against AmaTuks."
