Cape Town - Polokwane City midfielder Jabulani Maluleke revealed he turned down Orlando Pirates at the start of 2018/19 due to loyalty.
The seemingly ageless wonder recorded nine assists in the recently concluded campaign and once again gained many plaudits from the South African football public.
The 37-year-old was the third most creative attacker in the Premiership which was a remarkable achievement for a player who turns 38 in March next year.
He told the Daily Sun: "I don't know how many years I've left but as long my legs allow me to carry on, I won't be stopping anytime soon.
"All I wanted was to win the league with any club. I won two leagues title in a row and now I'd love to win a cup with my current team as I'm enjoying my stay here.
"Before the past season started, I did get an offer from Pirates, but loyalty is everything. I chose to stay with City."
