Maluleka warns Chiefs to guard against upset

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Maluleka says the club are not taking anything for granted ahead of Saturday's Nedbank Cup Round of 32 clash with National First Division outfit FC Stellenbosch.

The side from the NFD are fourth in their table and are chasing a promotion spot to the Premiership.

In addition, the Cape Town-based side have the coaching pedigree of the experienced Sammy Troughton and Steve Barker in their ranks.

As such, Maluleka has made it clear that Chiefs are ready for the challenge faced to avoid an upset.

"We are going into this game with a serious mindset, forget which league they are playing in, and we want to make sure that we get a positive result, we don’t want any surprises," he told the club's official website.

"They are fourth on the NFD log for a reason and that is because of coach Steve and Sammy, very intelligent coaches who have been in this game for a long time and know what it takes to cause an upset."

The Glamour Boys go into the game with a full strength squad as there are no injuries or suspensions.

Saturday's action gets underway from 20:15 at Athlone Stadium in the Mother City.
