Malesela pleased with technical team

Cape Town - Chippa United coach Dan Malesela expressed delight for retaining much of his technical staff ahead of the upcoming season.

Malesela last season steered Chippa to their first top-eight finish after ending the season in sixth place.

The Chilli Boys have kept assistant coach Mbuyiselo Sambu, goalkeeper coach Brain Van Der Heever and fitness coach Madoda Moyo.

"They already understand my philosophy, so continuity was key. We have only lost our Physio, Alex Morupa, but have replaced him with Mark Anderson," Malesela said on the club's website.

Malesela will be looking to make a few signings during the transfer window as the club builds from the previous season.

"One area of concern for me is our defence and we will definitely focus on strengthening that department this season," Malesela said.

"We have beefed up the goalkeeping department and from the middle to attack we look good."

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
