Malesela anticipating a dismissal?

Port Elizabeth- Under-fire Chippa United head coach Dan Malesela is not intimidated with the prospect of being the next PSL mentor to be sacked this season despite the Chilli Boys registering their fourth league loss against Orlando Pirates of the campaign on Tuesday.

The Chilli Boys miseries continued after a 1-0 defeat to the Buccaneers in an Absa Premiership clash played at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, courtesy of the red-hot Tendai Ndoro strike.

The 51-year-old mentor insisted that he is ready to deal with the disappointment of losing his reign in Port Elizabeth, should that happen. He further hinted that his charges are not in trouble considering their 10th place on the log.

Malesela remains pleased with the type of football they are playing and stressed out that they are just unfortunate not to convert all their clear-cut chances.

"Of course we wanted to win but I’m happy with the type of football we played tonight," Malesela told reporters in a post-match press conference

"The football fans were thoroughly entertained and a loss did not hamper us, we can only improve from here.

"But well done to Pirates, you know I once played under coach Palacios and he didn’t realise he was preparing me.

"I understand I could be fired and if it happens I will deal with it, I know coaches were fired after two weeks but I don’t think we are in trouble.

"With the way we are playing then something has to give in and we will get the results."

Should Malesela get the boot, he will be the sixth coach to leave their head coach post this season after Roger De Sa (Ajax Cape Town), Serame Letsoaka (Bloemfontein Celtic), Denis Lavagne (Free State Stars), Allan Freese (Highlands Park) and Muhsin Ertugral (Orlando Pirates).

However, Chippa will be looking to turn things around when they face Maritzburg United in their next league assignment away from home on November 29.
