Cape Town - Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Frank Makua believes Lucky Baloyi is not the appropriate candidate to replace Reneilwe Letsholonyane.
Veteran midfielder Letsholonyane will leave Amakhosi to join SuperSport United at the end of the season.
Although Makua acknowledges Baloyi's talent, he does not believe the 24-year-old is on the same level as 'Yeye'.
"He [Baloyi] is also a possible replacement. But they are not the same, Yeye and Lucky. Yeye is a kind of player that can make a team tick, you know," Makua told Soccer Laduma.
"He's a good player, Lucky. For me, he still needs time to gel and to understand the players there.
"Yes, he played for Chiefs before, but he was loaned to Swallows and then he came back, but if you watch his games, he doesn't click with [Willard] Katsande. They don't complement each other very well, so maybe with time, he'll gel with the team, but he's a good player and he is an engine."
