Makhaula's tackle on Molangoane during Amakhosi's 3-0 MTN8 quarter-final win over Ea Lla Koto has left him with an injury which is set to take until next year to heal.
Immediately after Molangoane's leg break, Makhaula issued a public apology. However, he initially struggled to get hold of the Kaizer Chiefs man to apologise directly.
Now, however, he has revealed a conversation with Molangoane in which they have made peace.
"I finally spoke to him," Makhaula told KickOff.
"He was the one who took the initiative to call me you know, I learnt that he's been trying to get hold of me all along. But he finally reached me and he told me that he's been looking for my numbers you see.
"He told me that he saw that I wasn't doing it on purpose, he told me not to stress because such things happen in football.
"Ja, we ended up forgiving each other. We even agreed that the day we are going to play in Jozi, or me when I go home we will meet maybe somewhere so we can talk face to face. That's something that makes me happy because it was not my purpose."
