Cape Town - Former Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns star Benedict Vilakazi believes Fortune Makaringe is the player to watch for the Sea Robbers in 2019/20.
Makaringe joined Pirates from Maritzburg United at the end of last season and still has work to do to establish himself in the first team with Bucs.
Nonetheless, Vilakazi, who starred for Pirates from 1999 until 2007, believes he will produce the goods when his opportunity comes along.
'Tso' told Soccer Laduma: "For me Makaringe is a fantastic player and he is going to add an exciting element to the way Pirates play. I think he will come in and add value, because for me Pirates haven't had this type of player for some time."
The 37-year-old added that Mamelodi Sundowns remained the team to beat in the Premiership for the foreseeable future.
He concluded: "Sundowns still have the core of the team and they obviously didn't do much in the transfer window and that means they are happy with what they have at the moment.
"If you look at the average age as well, maybe they can go on for a few more seasons with the same team. They will still be tough to beat."
