Cape Town - Ayanda Gcaba's agent, Mike Makaab, has confirmed that the defender will not report for Orlando Pirates pre-season training and is on the hunt for a new club.
Gcaba joined Pirates from Free State Stars in 2012 and used to be a prominent figure in the Bucs' backline but has fallen out of favour under Milutin Sredojevic.
The 32-year-old then went on loan to Platinum Stars in January but was unable to help them keep their Absa Premiership status, as they went down to the National First Division via the playoffs.
The defender's contract at the Buccaneers is set to expire at the end of the month and Prosport International's Makaab has no intention of fighting to keep his client at Pirates.
"We're working hard on this, trying to make sure he gets a new club sooner rather than later," Makaab told the Daily Sun.
"Right now, I can't be specific about the club, but what I can say is we're looking at all opportunities for him.
"But I can confirm that he's not going back to Orlando Pirates."
