Makaab: Mzwakali to remain at Ajax

Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town midfielder Bantu Mzwakali will remain with the Urban Warriors, despite reportedly garnering interest from a number of top teams in South Africa.

The 22-year-old's agent, Mike Makaab, revealed that negotiations with "one of the big teams in South Africa" failed to materialise.

"We tried to get a deal for him from one of the big teams in South Africa, but that deal has since fallen through," Makaab told The Citizen.

"As it stands now, he is likely to continue playing for Ajax. He has to work hard to regain his place in the team.

"If things don’t change for him at Ajax, we’ll try to organise a move in January," Makaab concluded.

The former South Africa youth international has been linked with the likes of Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United in the current transfer window.
