Mahlasela completes Chiefs switch

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs have announced the signing of highly-rated playmaker Kabelo Mahlasela from Bloemfontein Celtic on a permanent deal.

The transfer was shortly announced after the Soweto giants confirmed defender Lorenzo Gordinho completed a one-year loan deal to the Free State side.

Mahlasela, 26, has signed a two-and-half year deal with the Glamour Boys arrives with great optimism at Naturena as the club's new creative force in midfield.

"Kaizer Chiefs would like to confirm the signing of attacking midfielder Kabelo Mahlasela from Bloemfontein Celtic," read a statement on the club's official website.

"The Sebokeng born player will join Amakhosi on a 2 and a half year deal with a one year option."

Mahlasela scored three goals and registered five assists in 33 games during his time with Siwelele.
