Mahlambi: I've settled down at Sundowns

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns forward Phakamani Mahlambi feels he is finally starting to settle down at the club after a slow start.

The 21-year-old joined Masandawana before the start of the season from Egyptian giants Al Ahly and hit the ground running when he scored on debut in a 3-3 draw against Amazulu.

However, Mahlambi never hit the back of the net in the league again until February in a 1-1 stalemate against Bidvest Wits and then followed that up with another striker in the next match against Cape Town City.

The former Bidvest Wits striker is currently in camp with the South Africa U23 side and has four goals in 22 appearances this season.

In quotes published on KickOff website, Mahlambi said: "It's all coming okay now, and I've settled down.

"I've been doing well and for me to come to the national team now I think my confidence is a little bit higher.

"Hopefully I will do well also."

Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane said he still has a lot of work to do with the Mahlambi to ensure he improves but has time on his side.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
