Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns forward Phakamani Mahlambi has hinted he is out for revenge against his former employers Al Ahly in the CAF Champions League.
Mahlambi spent just a short spell with the Egyptian giants in 2017/18 however he struggled to make an impact and eventually moved back to South Africa with the Brazilians.
Downs are set to take on the Club of the Century over the course of two legs in a CCL quarterfinal. The first leg is set to take place in South Africa early next month.
The 21-year-old has had a relatively slow start to life back in Mzansi's top flight and has managed just four goals in all competitions.
In addition, the highly-rated prospect is yet to get off the mark in the Champions League for the Pitso Mosimane-coached outfit.
He told reporters: "Yes, I look forward to that [playing in the knockout stages]. I think it's always about making your own mark.
"I was there [at Al Ahly] and I did not play, but hopefully I am going to play. I'm looking forward to it, I want to do well."
