Madubanya: Ndlovu will be among big winners

Cape Town - Letladi Madubanya says he was impressed with Siphesihle Ndlovu and has backed the Maritzburg United youngsters to be among big winners at Absa Premiership awards.

The Baroka captain said the young midfielder was a tough opponent when he came-up against him in the recently ended season and has backed him to be among the big winners in Tuesday’s Premiership end of the season awards.

Ndlovu will be vying for four awards in the Footballer of the Season, Players' Player of the Season, Midfielder of the Season and Young Player of the Season awards.

The Team of Choice finished the season in fourth position while they also made it to the final of the Nedbank Cup.

"He has been consistent and scored important goals for his club this season," Madubanya told Vodacom Soccer.

"He also provided a lot of assist for his team-mates and he is my pick to walk away with the Midfielder of the Season Award.

"When he was not playing, you could see that the team was missing him."

The awards ceremony gets underway on Tuesday at 20:00.
