Pretoria - Mamelodi Sundowns defender Motjeka Madisha admits rubbing shoulders with the club's top players is a motivation factor for him.
The Brazilians kept their title hopes alive courtesy of Madisha’s solitary strike after defeating Free State Stars 1-0 in an Absa Premiership encounter at the James Motlatsi Stadium on Saturday.
The 22-year-old man-marker was grateful to finally break into the Brazilians first team and playing in a star-studded team is a huge motivation factor for him.
"It’s all about team work for us. We play together and when we win we win together," said Madisha.
"A win was not only about me as an individual but the credit must go to my team-mates. Though I won the man-of-the-match award, I was not playing alone.
"Playing alongside such talented players gives me confidence and it really keeps me going. We still have a long way to go but we’ll do it together as a team."
The Brazilians will be looking to keep the winning momentum afloat when they face perennial rivals SuperSport United in the league clash at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Wednesday evening.
The Pretoria rivals clashed last week and Sundowns humbled Matsatsantsa 5-0 to dampen their 2016/17 title ambitions.
Kick off is scheduled for 19:30.
