Mabunda: Zungu will be missed

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Tiyani Mabunda admits that the club will find it difficult to replace Portugal-bound Bongani Zungu.

The versatile Zungu will leave Sundowns at the end of the season to join Vitoria de Guimaraes, who finished the 2015/16 campaign in 10th place in the Primeira Liga table.

The 23-year-old seemingly made his last appearance for Sundowns when he picked up an injury earlier in the year.

Although Mabunda is one of the midfielders who has deputized for Zungu, he believes the departure prove to be a big loss for the Brazilians.

"You know how important Bongani was to the team. It will be tough to fill his place but as a team we will take over from where he has left off," Mabunda told Soccer Laduma.

"We are grateful for every contribution he has made to the team and we wish him all the best in his new life in Portugal."
