Mabunda hoping for good news

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Tiyani Mabunda is waiting for confirmation from the medical team regarding his availability for the CAF Champions League clash with KCCA.

The 28-year-old appears doubtful for Masandawana's first-leg clash against the Ugandan champions after he sustained a shoulder injury in Monday's 2-0 Nedbank Cup victory against Mariveni United.

Mabunda revealed he is waiting on the Sundowns medical team to assess the injury to discover its severity, as he looks to feature on Friday.

"I am fine, but I am waiting for feedback from our medical team to confirm how bad it was," he told Goal.com website.

"I hope to get a positive response from them because I would like to continue assisting the team in the same way I have been doing in our previous games.

"So I am just waiting for the doctor to come through with the results - so that I get a clear indication whether I will be available or not for the game."

Kick off is at 19:00.
