Mabena credits the team for win

Cape Town - Platinum Stars forward Ndumiso Mabena has thanked the players and the technical team for a job well done in their 2-1 league win over Orlando Pirates on Monday.

Mabena produced a Man-of-the-Match performance on the night, and was involved in most of Dikwena's attacks, before scoring the second goal for his side in the 49th minute to send the Buccaneers home empty handed.

"Credit has to go to the boys and the technical staff that has prepared us very well for this game," he said after the match.

"Credit also has to go to the coach for motivating us for this game after the disappointment of the last game."

The victory for Cavin Johnson's men moves them up to third at the expense of Kaizer Chiefs and the former Orlando Pirates striker hopes the team continues to do well, as they look to qualify for continental football next season.

"We set ourselves goals and with three games to go we are working to gather maximum points so that we can get a CAF position for next season."
