Losper hurt by commitment questions

Cape Town - Banished Ajax Cape Town attacker Toriq Losper admits to being pained by the accusations that he has failed to show his commitment to the club.

Losper was placed on the transfer-list after a reported contractual dispute with Ajax management.

The 24 year-old has one year remaining on his deal with the Urban Warriors and having attracted interest from a handful of Premiership clubs.

"First things first, one must remember there's always two sides to a story. There were precedents set in the past with regards to players signing pre-contracts," Losper told KickOff.

"I'm no different. Be that as it may, it hurts me too when fans come up to me and question my loyalty. I kept quiet because it's in the best interest.

"Besides I wasn't the one that wanted to be placed on the transfer-list. But it's important to clear the air and to make the fans understand where I'm coming from as well.

"Where does it leave me ultimately if we can't find common ground? That said Ajax is still close to my heart. The love for the red and white will remain in my heart."

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
